Yet another great teacher has closed her lesson book...

At 2:30 am this morning, Florence Jessie Desjardins decided that she had seen enough of this world and chose to take on yet another new world in her neverending tour of the universe.

To those that she knew, she was Florence. To those that knew her, she was "Florrie". To the truly brave, she was Flossie and to the truly stupid, she was Jessie.

For my siblings and I, she was Granny...and she only let us call her that because she loved us and knew that we could sometimes be exceptionally brave, although most of the time we were the epitome of stupid. We kids only called her Flossie once...and that's because we were stupid.
