Sorry about that...I was just snoozing...for the last two months
First of all, thanks to you all who asked where the hell I have been and whether or not I was going to write again...you're good people...yep, you are...anyhow, moving right along...
The great thing about residing in a town such as Lloyd is that I can never wait to leave for somewhere else...so in a sense, I am situated in a never-ending incentive to travel elsewhere. And that about covers Lloyd...oh yeah and the job is moving along quite well. I have become quite the health freak as of late...working out 5 times a week, running 3 times a week...no, really I am...I'm serious. Monotony drove me to occupy my time with as much as possible to prevent myself from becoming more bored than I already have become, so off to the gym with me I figured and now I am getting buff and not too big and feeling really swell overall...yay for me. I didn't think it was possible but I have been able to increase my reading to 5 books a week on top of my 2 daily newspapers and the periodicals that I purchase at a rate of a zillion per week...yep working out the brain as well as the bod...look out Tokyo, here I come...don't ask...for some reason right now I have "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult on the brain...sighhh.
THINGS ON MY BRAIN LATELY: surgical tools, green and yellow suede old-school high-top Vision Street Wear skate shoes, The Mother Hips, the newest album by the broke-up-a-long-time-ago Dismemberment Plan that they didn't make (their fans did...tres cool, no?), babies (seriously...I don't know if it's age or the gas that I huffed at work but I got kiddies on the brain), sushi, my dog that I don't have yet...speaking of which...HEY PENNY!!! Where the hell is my dog that you were suppossed to get for me 6 months ago?, Jell-O...which is rather bothersome to me since I cannot stand the stuff, the new SAAB 93 and a certain black 2002 Audi A6 and that's about it for now...
NEW THINGS I WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND: Bowling (I rolled a 158 last night...almost beat Polly's 163...stupid Polly and her 163...grrr...), orange Fluevogs (they're brand new and so comfy it's sick), the latest Thievery Corporation album, American Eagle white boxers briefs (comfy or what?? Man, that's good stuff..), Henry Darger (don't know why but he has been popping into my head lately), Moleskines ( got a brand new one yesterday and was immediately inspired to write...God bless them), Cafe Select here in Edmonton (stupidly wicked menu and wine list...ask for Joshua to be your server and you will feel pleasant and content all day...seriously, he is THAT nice) aand there you go.
And in parting, chew on this tidbit from our good friend Michael Franti (if you have to ask, then you should be spanked...very hard...with a '76 Buick LeSabre...), "...we all need to heed the words of Dalai Lama...or at least the words of your momma...stay human..."
